  • WELCOME!

    The camera and lens have always been a comfortable place for me. A place I can express what I can't put into words.

    "If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera." - Lewis Hine

    For years I struggled with who I truly was. As I have watched my friends and clients through a lens, I began to feel more comfortable in my own skin. Then, I became a mother to two little girls and my feelings of simply being comfortable with who I was turned into a sense of belonging and pride. I want my girls to feel and understand it too. I go without makeup-they still tell me I'm beautiful. I forget things, make mistakes and offer apologies-they still love me. They desire my eyes locked with theirs, my arms around their bellies and my kisses upon their cheeks. I will always fight my negative inner thoughts of imperfection, but today I will focus on them amidst the glorious chaos.

    Embracing the chaos. Glorious chaos!

    As I began to embrace who I was, I began to embrace my niche of photography. It was not intentional, but after encouragement from a few dear friends, I began documenting families within their homes. I lose myself in your moments while documenting in-home sessions. There has never been a time I don't find myself smiling or tearing up behind the camera.

    Children are most natural in their own environment. It's rare that a child walks by their bed and doesn't pause to squeeze a lovie and it's inevitable that someone will need a boo boo kissed or sat in time out. There is so much beauty within the walls of your home. Beauty of daddies dancing with pig-tailed/one socked little girls in the living room. Movie night tents and exhausted mamas sitting on bubble soaked floors while babies play. Pancake making and Saturday morning bike rides. Capturing your lives truly makes my heart sing.

    I would love to document your family just as they are!

Mandi & Miles are married!…{Clearwater, FL wedding photographer}

Light, bright and airy is what Mandi and Miles envisioned for the atmosphere of their day.  A beach ceremony and the open aired reception in the evening made for a spectacular setting. They opted for a first look for the sake of photos and the schedule of the day. It was clear to see this decision helped ease some pre-ceremony jitters and emotions as well. As soon as they saw each other, each of them breathed a sigh of relief.

These two and their entire family hold a special place in my heart. I’ve had the pleasure of documenting many milestones on Miles’ side of the family and it’s always such an honor to get a call from any of them with special news asking me to be there.

Congratulations Mandi and Miles!
Love,
Abbey

Miles Crowe - Abbey you are the BEST!! Thank you so much for capturing our special day exactly how we imagined. Using natural light is a technique not many have mastered but these pictures show that you are on another level. We can not thank you enough and I know we will treasure these pictures for many years to come. xoxo – Miles & Mandi

Family…{St Pete FL lifestyle and family photographer}

It’s such a compliment to be continually asked back into someone’s home as the years go by and their family grows-with the request of more natural moments than portraits. Music to my ears and I can’t move fast enough to caught all that unfolds in front of me!

An evening dip in the pool with Mommy and Daddy and a swish in the tub.
Dress ups, dancing and swings with “Babi” and “Diado”.
A tea party and books with “Wheezy” and “Grumps”.

Tears where wiped, books were read, fake ice cream was ordered, tickles were had and Babi’s cooking was eaten from the kitchen counter by a very tired and hungry baby. It was a wonderful evening.

“What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort, lessons in life. And, most importantly, cookies.” – Rudolph Giuliani

A morning with the Lane family…{Tampa FL lifestyle and family photographer}

Some breakfast, playing outside, temper tantrum, morning bath, post temper tantrum/prenap snuggles and horsing around.
It was a good morning! What sometimes feels routine and normal in our lives is worth so much more than we give it credit for. To stop and cherish the small stages that will soon be no more as babies grow.
